A much enlarged jack knife with a slice of fruit are the subjects of this still life. The whole painting employs a thick paint. The idea here being to evoke the juiciness of fruit by the viscosity of the paint.

Using a stuffed cow, I envisioned some comic scenes where Cow would be the subject. Cow by the City is one of my favorites. The City here is based on a couple of wooden toys. I created the menacing quality of Cow by lighting and the scale difference between Cow and the City.
